llamo José Carlos Somoza y soy escritor.
Me gustaría que esta página fuera
para ti un intercambio: que me permitieras conocerte
un poco al tiempo que tú me conoces un poco
a mí.
Creo firmemente que escribir es la única
magia de verdad que aún nos queda: ser capaces
de construir mundos y habitarlos, gestar destinos,
modelar vidas. Por eso mis libros tratan de ser
siempre diferentes (¿para qué malgastar
el poder en un solo mundo?), aunque tengan nexos
en común, como el misterio, como el juego.
Mi única regla de oro es: intentar que el
lector disfrute tanto (o más) con lo que
escribo como yo he disfrutado escribiéndolo.

My
name is José Carlos Somoza and I am a writer.
I would like you to visit and use this site as
a kind of exchange program -one in which we can
get to know a little bit of each other.
I strongly believe that writing is the only actual
form of magic we have left. Thanks to it one can
create worlds and live in them, manage fates and
shape lives. For this reason I always try to come
up with a different story in every next novel
(why waste the power in just one world?), even
though there are common aspects to all of them:
mystery, play. I do have my own golden rule though:
always try to have the reader enjoy my literature
as much as, or more than I enjoy writing it.
