Almeria, Tabernas desert, 2002. Texas Hollywood is a dusty village where, decades before, Westerns were shot. JULIÁN (Sancho Gracia), a veteran and jaded stuntman, just barely manages to survive there. Working with him are a series of drifters and hopelessly nostalgic characters: CHEYENE (Ángel de Andrés), the cowardly gunman; MANUEL (Manuel Tallafé), the fearless stand-in; ARRASTRAO (Enrique Martínez), the luckless rider; AHORCADO (Eduardo Gómez), the sad hanged man; ENTERRADOR (Luciano Federico), the jinxed Italian; DON MARIANO (Ramón Barea), the owner of the village… and half a dozen gypsies dressed up to look like Indians. They all make their living by recreating pathetic action scenes for the handful of foreign tourists that visit the area. The lives of these poor devils undergo a radical change overnight, after the arrival of CARLOS (Luis Castro), a boy who claims to be Julian’s grandson.
While the kid’s grandmother, ROCÍO (Terele Pávez), climbs up the walls in her new two storey villa, his mother, LAURA (Carmen Maura), an stressed businesswoman, decides to tackle once and for all the ghosts of her past. She relies on the unconditional –as well as self-interested- support of SCOTT (Eusebio Poncela), her partner, a complete financial Shark.

From this point of no return onwards, wounds that have festered combine with real estate speculation to give rise to a tragicomic storm of unforeseeable consequences. Will 800 BULLETS be enough to defend a way of life based on an utter film fantasy?
